Cox Family Assistance-What You Can Do

This is from Liz McGregor and gives information about helping Rod and Kamara Cox:

"Words cannot express the gratitude to all of you for all the love, support, and prayers that have been lifting the Cox family up the past couple of days. It is very evident that God is hearing our prayers! Many of you have approached us with the question "What can I do?" Well, first and foremost would be to pray. Pray for this sweet baby to continue to fight and thrive. Pray that Kamara and Rod will be able to see the truth and life every single day. Pray that Kamara and Rod will be able to minister to others and that others will minister to them through similar experiences. Kamara and Rod are still trying to figure out for themselves what all they need right now. After talking to some people that have been in similar situations we have learned some things that would be beneficial to them. Over the next several months they will be making numerous trips back and forth to the hospital. So, I know it would be nice to have some gift cards for gas, groceries and fast food. We are also wanting to have their house cleaned regularly so they don't have to worry with cleaning right now. I also think it would be encouraging to see who is supporting them during this time with encouragement note cards and pictures. If you want to send an encouraging note, scriptures or prayer that would be great, too. If you are interested you can send me or Tami Pruett some encouraging notes with a picture of your family so they can see who is praying for them. You can also send money to either one of us to put together a basket of gift cards during this time. We would also like to use some of the money to go towards their house being cleaned. If you already have one of our addresses you can go ahead and start sending them our way. We would like to put this together soon for them. If you don't have one of our addresses you can email me and I will give it to you. You can also leave a comment with your email and I will email you my address. My email is liz_mcgregor00@yahoo.com. Thank you so much for your support! It is appreciated more than you can imagine! Baby Girl Cox is already changing lives and hearts and I can't wait to see what God has in store for this little miracle!"

If you are interested in helping, I can also collect and deliver notes of encouragement, gift cards, etc. to Liz as well.

Kaelyn...Meet Frosty

On Thursday, February 11th, the snow began to fall again in Dallas. It has been a record breaking season. A new record was set for the DFW area with 12.5 inches on the ground. It is unbelievable to me that Kaelyn has already seen snow three times in her short little life while Robbie and I grew up with little or none. We took advantage of the snow as a family when Robbie made it home and built our first snowman! Kaelyn stayed warm inside and napped while Robbie and I got to work. It was so much fun because there was enough snow to make a white snowman instead of a grassy one like we grew up with. Here are our family pictures.
Frosty the Snowman
Hanging out with Mom while it dumps more snow!
Kaelyn opened her mouth while Daddy was holding her to eat the snow!
"What on earth is that?"

Introducing Kaelyn to a snowball!
"I'm not sure if I want to pick it up or not...It's cold to my hands."
"Okay...I'll smile since Mom and Dad really want me to."

Carbo-Load

For about three and a half months now, Robbie and I believe Kaelyn has been cutting a tooth and we've been waiting for it to arrive any day (or I should say any month; never knew teething was such a process). Last weekend, we decided to give Kaelyn a "biter biscuit" and see how she'd do with it. She loved the biscuit and thank goodness I stripped her down because we had it everywhere from head to toe. The greatest thing about the biter biscuit was how long it kept her entertained while we cooked and ate dinner. And finally, on Monday, the tooth fairy arrived and Kaelyn's first tooth began to show. Boy, is it a sharp little fellow!

Daddy introduces the biter biscuit to Kaelyn
She is quite skeptical!
"Ummm...This is pretty good stuff!"
"Thanks Mom and Dad! This is like eating a cookie.
Am I supposed to have so many carbs at my age?"
We all love the biter biscuit and the cheap entertainment!

Kaelyn's 6 Month Photo Shoot

We got Kaelyn's 6 Month photos back today and are really pleased with how they turned out! We think she is pretty darn cute and wanted to share with all our friends and family! What is so amazing about these photos, is that they were able to capture all 44 of them (didn't post them all on the blog) in a 10 minute time slot with 2 outfit changes. Kaelyn did so well with all the chaos and only got fussy for the very last photo.

This one is my favorite!
She is always flying with her arms and legs and we were glad
they were able to capture it on camera!Kaelyn just learned to grab her toes and this was a cute
pose with her showing off! Once the heart was introduced to Kaelyn, we couldn't get her attention
and she became a slobbery mess! She was working her
hands hard to get it into her mouth! Another one of our favorites! Here's the final pose when she had had enough!
